This sacred journey weaves deep ceremonial work with adventure, integration, and connection to the land itself.
Over seven days, you'll move through four sacred ceremonies, each held with reverence and intention. You'll journey through the Shamanic worlds from healing and release in the lower world, through integration and grounding in the middle world, to expansion and awakening in the upper world.
Rooted in Peruvian shamanism and held in the feminine, nurturing embrace of Hawaiʻi, this retreat offers deep personal transformation. Between ceremonies, you'll have time for rest and reflection, plus adventures to potent places across the island: spaces of natural power and raw beauty that most visitors never experience.

The Medicine of the Land
Hawaiʻi is not just a location. It is a living, breathing teacher.
The Big Island is the youngest of the Hawaiian islands, still being shaped by volcanic activity. Lava flows into the ocean, creating new earth. The elements here are raw, alive, and immediate: fire from the depths, water cascading from cliffs, air carrying the salt of the Pacific, earth still molten and forming. This is a land of transformation by nature, where death and rebirth happen simultaneously.
For centuries, indigenous Hawaiian culture has recognized these islands as sacred places where the natural and spiritual worlds are inseparably woven. The concept of mana, the spiritual life force flowing through all things, is particularly strong here. The land itself is alive, conscious, and holds those who approach with reverence.
When the ceremonial work is held within this landscape, something powerful unfolds. The ceremonies become amplified by the island's energy. Between the ceremonial work, the raw beauty and power of Hawaii grounds what you've received, allowing integration to happen organically. This is medicine beyond what happens in ceremony.
The Retreat Space
This retreat is based at a private sanctuary on the Big Island's East coast in Kalapana. The property sits above the ocean with lush tropical gardens, a walking trail, and natural spaces designed for rest and integration.
You'll stay in comfortable accommodations designed to support deep rest and integration. The ceremonial space is an open-air shala that allows the elements to be present throughout the work, while still providing shelter and intimacy.
Between ceremonies, you'll have access to wellness amenities including a pool, hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge. Optional massage services are available for those seeking additional bodywork and support.
All meals are included and prepared fresh on-site. The food is vegetarian, mostly organic and whole, designed to support your body and the ceremonial work throughout the week.
This is a true sanctuary: a place to unplug, slow down, and be held by the land as you move through your transformation.

This retreat is guided by experienced ceremonial facilitators and supported by a team dedicated to your journey. Together, we bring expertise in ceremonial work, integration support, and transformational coaching. We're here to hold sacred space, guide you through the experience, and support you logistically, emotionally, and energetically so you can fully receive this journey and carry it forward with clarity and grace.
Jared Lim
Facilitator
After building a successful business in his early 20s, Jared hit a quarter-life crisis and left everything behind to travel the world in search of deeper meaning. That journey brought him to the Amazon jungle in 2015, where he first experienced ceremonial work at SpiritQuest Sanctuary. Today, as a transformational coach, Jared draws on a powerful modality called Accelerated Evolution, which supports deep emotional clearing, spiritual integration, and reconnecting to one's true nature.
Brad Samuels
Facilitator
Brad discovered a passion for business, finance and investing in his early 20's, and started his first business after completing his degree in finance. Business led him to the pursuit of freedom and in its various forms and ultimately him to the yogic path and the ceremonial way. This eventually led him to the amazon jungle of Peru in 2017. These life changing experiences altered his understanding of life, reality and the purpose behind why we are here.
Zachary Adama
Facilitator
Zachary's passion for justice and truth led him to a career as a lawyer in his early 20s. Then after passing the bar and beginning his legal career he had a powerful spiritual awakening that ignited his passion for learning and living in harmony with the laws of the universe. His spiritual seeking led him down the yogic path and to working with ancestral medicines. He has been facilitating sacred pilgrimages in Peru with Don Martin since 2022.
Kevin Rodrigue
Facilitator
Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Kevin’s journey has been guided by a deep reverence for sound, song, and the healing power of nature. Over the past decade, his path of transformational medicine work and devotion to cacao have opened his heart to the wisdom of music as medicine. Seeing the voice as an instrument of healing and expansion, Kevin facilitates sound journeys, singing circles, and voice activations that invite connection, presence, and unity—opening our hearts into harmony with ourselves, each other, and the living world around us.
James Yamada
Facilitator
James has studied the ways of plant medicine from various Amazonian teachers for over 20 years. He has been facilitating monthly ceremonies and building community for the past nine years. When facilitating, he brings this experience as well as a deep interest in Vajrayana Buddhist practices and many years working as an artist in different modalities. He makes all of his medicine on the Big Island of Hawaii with plants sourced from his friends’ permaculture farms. He currently resides deep in the woods of Western North Carolina with his partner Nancy.
