This sacred journey weaves deep ceremonial work with adventure, integration, and connection to the land itself.
Over seven days, you'll move through four sacred ceremonies, each held with reverence and intention. You'll journey through the Shamanic worlds from healing and release in the lower world, through integration and grounding in the middle world, to expansion and awakening in the upper world.
Rooted in Peruvian shamanism and held in the feminine, nurturing embrace of Hawaiʻi, this retreat offers deep personal transformation. Between ceremonies, you'll have time for rest and reflection, plus adventures to potent places across the island: spaces of natural power and raw beauty that most visitors never experience.

The Medicine of the Land
Hawaiʻi is not just a location. It is a living, breathing teacher.
The Big Island is the youngest of the Hawaiian islands, still being shaped by volcanic activity. Lava flows into the ocean, creating new earth. The elements here are raw, alive, and immediate: fire from the depths, water cascading from cliffs, air carrying the salt of the Pacific, earth still molten and forming. This is a land of transformation by nature, where death and rebirth happen simultaneously.
For centuries, indigenous Hawaiian culture has recognized these islands as sacred places where the natural and spiritual worlds are inseparably woven. The concept of mana, the spiritual life force flowing through all things, is particularly strong here. The land itself is alive, conscious, and holds those who approach with reverence.
When the ceremonial work is held within this landscape, something powerful unfolds. The ceremonies become amplified by the island's energy. Between the ceremonial work, the raw beauty and power of Hawaii grounds what you've received, allowing integration to happen organically. This is medicine beyond what happens in ceremony.
The Retreat Space
This retreat is based at a private sanctuary on the Big Island's East coast in Kalapana. The property sits above the ocean with lush tropical gardens, a walking trail, and natural spaces designed for rest and integration.
You'll stay in comfortable accommodations designed to support deep rest and integration. The ceremonial space is an open-air shala that allows the elements to be present throughout the work, while still providing shelter and intimacy.
Between ceremonies, you'll have access to wellness amenities including a pool, hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge. Optional massage services are available for those seeking additional bodywork and support.
All meals are included and prepared fresh on-site. The food is vegetarian, mostly organic and whole, designed to support your body and the ceremonial work throughout the week.
This is a true sanctuary: a place to unplug, slow down, and be held by the land as you move through your transformation.

This retreat is held by a dedicated team bringing complementary skills to support your journey. Our team includes ceremonial facilitators, ceremonial support, integration support, and logistical coordination. Together, we're here to hold sacred space, guide you through the experience, and support you emotionally and energetically so you can fully receive this journey and carry it forward with clarity and grace.
James Yamada
James has studied plant medicine with Amazonian teachers for over 20 years and has been facilitating ceremonies for the past nine years. He brings experience in Vajrayana Buddhist practices and has worked as an artist for many years. James makes his medicine on the Big Island with plants from local permaculture farms and resides in Western North Carolina with his partner Nancy.
Zachary Adama
Zachary's passion for justice and truth led him to a career as a lawyer in his early 20s. After passing the bar, he had a powerful spiritual awakening that ignited his passion for living in harmony with the laws of the universe. His spiritual seeking led him to the yogic path and ancestral medicines. He has been facilitating sacred pilgrimages in Peru with Don Martín since 2022.
Sol Asteria
Sol lives on the island of Hawai'i, where she guides people through liberation and empowerment work rooted in goddess frequencies and sacred feminine practices. She weaves together cacao ceremony, embodiment rituals, and sacred community to help people release ancestral karma and cultural conditioning while reconnecting with heart, body, and divine essence.
Kevin Rodriguez
Born and raised in Hawai'i, Kevin's journey has been guided by a deep reverence for sound, song, and the healing power of nature. His devotion to cacao and transformational medicine work have opened his heart to the wisdom of music as medicine. He facilitates sound journeys, singing circles, and cacao ceremonies that invite connection, presence, and harmony.
Jared Lim
After building a successful business in his early 20s, Jared left everything behind to travel the world in search of deeper meaning. That journey led him to the Amazon in 2015, where he first experienced ceremonial work. Today he supports deep emotional clearing, spiritual integration, and reconnecting to one's true nature through transformational coaching.
Emily Weldon
Emily has had a lifelong passion for the mysteries of life, personal growth, and healing. She has been working with plant medicine for many years, which eventually led her to deepen this connection through her journeys to Peru. Emily became a certified shamanic yoga instructor in 2022 and brings a gentle, supportive presence to ceremonial spaces.
Brad Samuels
Brad discovered a passion for business, finance and investing in his early 20s and started his first business after completing his degree. Business led him to pursue freedom and ultimately to the yogic path and ceremonial way. This led him to the Amazon jungle of Peru in 2017, where these experiences altered his understanding of life, reality, and why we are here.
Rhianna Debrayanna
Rhianna has been a lifelong lover of Earth, traversing the world as a traveler and journeying into her inner landscape as a seeker of truth. Her journey has included creating relationships with plant medicines and the indigenous people who offer them. She's a massage therapist and tantric coach with certifications in Pilates, yoga, pranayama, qi gong, healing tao, and breathwork.
